Q. What products should I use to keep my hair looking its best between colorings? Mary Hoye; Mason City, IA
A. I recommend using professional shampoos and conditioners for color treated hair between services. There are many to choose from, but some of my favorites are Matrix Biolage colorcarethérapie, Regis DesignLINE Color Care and Redken Color Extend. All are specifically formulated to help make your color last while adding shine and UV protection. Other things you can do to protect your hue is to cover your hair with a hat when out in intense sunshine. If you do subject your hair to a lot of sunlight, I suggest adding products from the Redken Color Extend Sun line to your routine to help remove chlorine, infuse hair with added UV protection and guard against fading.

My hair is browish black and i would like to dye it black. The reasons for this is that i am 41 yrs old, and i have alot of grey around my edges. What can i do about that? (Dye it right)
I have no clue what color to dye my hair because of my skin tone I’m a natural tan I tend to get darker at times but I wanna know if I can get high lights or just stay the safe way which is all one color
I always recomend to my clients that have color treated hair, any shampoos and conditioners sulfate and paraben free. They work very well and keeps the color vibrant. Remember that, any chemicals service are investments on yourself , you need to follow up with the proper home care in order to continue to rock a beautiful color in and outside the salon, make that money and color worth …
Thanks
I am a natural brunette, however, I believe that I am approximately 50% gray. I have been coloring my hair for years mostly at home. I use a dark brown color and usually color only my roots every 3-4 weeks. Lately after about a week after coloring, my roots will appear brassy.Only the roots seem to be affected, not the rest of my hair. I use the same hair color product each time, although I will use one or two others alternately to test the brassy problem. Could it be the shampoo and conditioner products that I have been using or is it more likely the coloring product. What in the product determines the brassiness of the coloring? Thanks.
I had gone from blonde highlighted hair to a red/brown colour, and i want to go lighter again, and i don’t know how i should do this, because lighter colours just have no effect on the current hair colour, should i strip it or just leave it?thanks
