A. If you’re wearing your coils in a curly style on a regular basis, then I recommend choosing a cut based on the shape of your face. For round, it’s best to keep cut the curls right below the chin with layers cut in so there is volume on top, not around your face (FYI, this is a great slimming trick). If you have a long face shape, take a cue from actress Sarah Jessica Parker. Most of her cuts over the past few years are cut full through the sides and layered all different lengths to add fullness around her face. Lastly, if you like to switch between curly and straight styles, choose a cut that translates well both ways. Long layers work great because the weight of the hair keeps curls in control and the longer pieces fall beautifully when blown-out!
