Q. My curls are too tight. How can I loosen them up and add luster? Aida I. Fernandez; Palm Beach, Fl
A. My favorite chemical-free method for stretching out tight coils is, hands down, Mizani True Textures Moisture Stretch Curl Extending Cream, a specially designed curl smoother that’s super moisturizing and delivers a softer, shinier, looser ringlet. Start by emulsifying a small amount of the product in the palms of your hands and applying it to sections of hair from the nape up. Next, twirl each section around your index finger to create a spiral. (Hint: The larger the section, the looser and bigger the finished curl.) To finish, allow hair to air dry or use a diffuser attachment on your blow dryer. Bonus: Besides eliminating curl shrinkage, this amazing product also helps thwart unwanted “frizz halo”.
