Q. How do I tame a cowlick just above my forehead? Tammy Adams; Everett, WA
A.The best way to tame a cowlick is with length and weight. If that’s not currently an option (ie: you hair isn’t long enough or heavy enough to coax the offending strands into a desired direction), a texture service or a very strong gel would be my recommendation. Depending on your hair type, texture and look, a perm, anti-curl or relaxer can help redirect the cowlick in such a way that it’s, at least, easier to style. When it comes to strong gels, Sebastian Liquid Steel is my hands down favorite.

I used to wear a beanie hat to bed to make sure mine was flattened over night. Now i use heat, blow dry it down and pray it doesnt rain.
does the strong gel make my hair greasy after i use it or anything like tht?? i hate it when my hair gets greasy or separates. anything tht doesnt do tht is fine by me. as long as my cowlick goes down.
my cowlick is in the front just about above the start of my right eyebrow. im trying to go for that “scene” hair look, but i cant swoop my hair over like most of them do, it makes me so mad becuz THAT is the hairstyle ive been wanting forever, and knowing i cant get my fave hairstyle makes me super mad…only becuz of my cowlick.
