Q. I dyed my hair red. It ended up fuchsia pink. How do I get it dark brown again? Patricia Regar; Starke, FL
A. Often red hair color will contain violet or copper undertones that turn strands a less than desirable shade after dyeing. Resist the urge to play hair color chemist in your own bathroom. Getting your hair back to a normal shade is going to require the help of a real professional. Your stylist will first remove the intense shade, and then apply the final hair color of your choice. The end result will be something you love.

well if you want to be treated like you are just below dirt, head out to this place. We have a big event coming up in our family. My daughter who I mind saying that it took me over 30 years to get her in a chair. So I took her to this so called hair salon. Right if you want to have five hours of your life spent with a hairdresser that took a turned up noise if you even tried to talk to her. We had black hair at the ends of her hair and red on the top. What happen to us tonight should not even happen to someone sitting on death roll. Five hours to have her black to come even blacker—- Really. The part that really gets me is the so call mang. could do nothing but open her mouth and lie, lie, and lie again. The lady that was to do my daughters hair was still with someone. We were ask to come back in 20 mins. right? Which we did. Just to see her packing up to go. It went so bad that there is no way I could put it all out here. Rest to sure that I will not rest until someone within this Co. can explain why my daughter had to cry not just one time but all the way home. That girl just put this dye on her that only took her over an hour to get on. The side she started on was even drying out. REALLY? She went as fair as to leave her wet dyed hair just hanging down in her eyes! REALLY? I had to make her re-rince as my daughter still had so much dye in her hair that it looked like toothpaste. She was unable to even find her way to remove it. She had to try herself REALLY? It ran down her neck and under that cover up and down onto her chest! REALLY? And to get this person to talk or to even move at some kind of power. Why would you put anyone to work with people on such a personal level and even have to tell your guest that she is hard to get her to talk. We were left there with no boss around and boy you could tell for sure. Its not about the monies. REALLY!!!!!!!!!! Its about how very very very wrong we were handled. Hair will grow and life will go on. Yet the thought of this so call salon will stay a life time. A closed down sign on the door saying “sorry we had to close because we only know how to lie and mistreat others. Should be the kindess thing you could do as long as these are the people you have there. With so many needing work this is what you all pick to treat your guest? I need an answer to how could all this happen. How are we going to do my sons wedding now? How are we going to deal with how her hair looking like this. MY eyes are full of tears and my heart is heavy. Can anyone there explain why??????????????????????
Dear Mrs. Rice:
I am a stylist who just read your trauma experience that you went through in March. Before I answer your concern may I please express to you my deepest sympathy for the experience you went through. The way this made me feel of my profession having a tarnished name because of what this inexperienced idiot has done to you, as well as no leadership in the salon doesn’t make for a very sucessful one. So with a sign on the door or not I can’t imagine this location not becoming a dairy queen sometime in the near future.
To answer you question I could offer to you a remedy of protein treatments and moisture. That is what will build the hair’s strength back. With this being the month of June and what gets my response to your letter is the following life lesson that I want to stress to you. I feel you have been through an expersince similar to a patient going into surgery to have their right leg removed and waking up to find it was their left leg that was amputated. Similar but not exact becasue for this there is no anethsia. I would like to put this very frank… If ever, ever, you are in a position where someone is doing you a service and you feel they aren’t listening to your needs, capable of meeting your needs or timely enough to perform the service you need immediately stop that service. If color is on your hair rinse it, walk out, go to another salon.
You are a very nice person to have sat at this place for 5 hours and not just go. get out. you see someone screwing up or not talking to you just leave. say bye. don’t say bye. whatever you do. Go go Go. don’t be a fool.
I got blue highlights in my hair.the person who did my hair bleached some of it then put the blue highlights. then i went swimming and washed my hair now the blue highlights turned blonde.should i go back to get it done again.i wont my hair to have highlights before year book pictures.what do i do.
Bryanna,
Sometimes this does happen. The color is probly temporary. I would sugest getting the blue hilights in a day or 2 before your pictures. They will fade with each wash. If I were you I would try to wash your hair a little less and if you can handle it wash it in colder water. The cooler water will close your hair cuticle trapping the color in longer. Oh and when i comes to swimming be careful in clorine because it can turn your hair green.. I would sugest using a leave in conditioner or any conditioner in your hair before you get in the pool. Hope that helps.
Ms Papp,
My mother got her bangs cut by you multiple times at the Best Cuts in Brimfield. I hope this is the correct Helen Papp, and if not I apologize. She was sad to find out that you no longer work there and tried to find out where you currently are working but they would not tell her. She has never found anyone that cuts her bangs in a way that she truly likes until you came along. I called and was able to find out your last name so I did a google search and found this post. I am hoping to find out where you are working for her. If you are willing to post that on here I would really appreciate it, and if not please find me on facebook if you wouldn’t mind. My name is Kelli Pollock. Thank you for your time!
Hi, I had my hair dyed yesterday because I wanted it nice for a party i am going to tomorrow night. The colour which I asked for a showed the hairdresser on the colour chart was a dark brown. I was originally blonde. After she rinsed out my hair and took me back to the mirror I was shocked. My hair looked jett black. I asked her about it and she said that it would be allot lighter once she had finished with the blowdryer. Once my hair was dry it still looked extremely dark, black infact. I have washed it since and it is still SO DARK. I hate it so much and I really do not feel that it suits me… HELP PLEASE? Will it go lighter like the colour I shose originally? Or am i stuck with black-ish hair?
Abby I would call the stylist maybe they will be willing to fix it for free or discounted since it didn’t turn out the way you want.
