Carolina Herrera’s Spring 2011 collection was inspired, in part, by the traditional dress of Korea. Stylist Orlando Pita expanded on this theme by dreaming up an intricate updo accented by custom barrettes that added a bold graphic element to the hair.
Pita used argan oil-infused Moroccanoil Light to lend the hair frizz-free shine and Moroccanoil Hydrating Styling Cream as a styling aid before blow drying for a smooth and straight look. He added a deep side part, pulled the hair back, and sprayed it with Moroccanoil Luminous Hairspray before draping, wrapping and pinning the hair into place with a cluster of custom made, mane-matching “Hair-Barrettes”. A spritz of Moroccanoil Glimmer Shine Spray finished the look.
“I love this hairstyle,” said Orlando of the finished look. “When Korean women dress, nothing is out of place and everything is beautifully thought out. My hairstyle is precise and graphic, with no loose or separate pieces. Moroccanoil products give hair hold, smoothness and shine and everything is attached and held together only by custom-made Hair barrettes that match the exact color of the model’s hair. They’re strategically placed to make sure they completely hold every part of the look in place.”
