As at Lanvin, the look at Pedro Lourenco’s Spring 2011 show was “wet” but this time the inspiration wasn’t a scuba diver but a futuristic space princess. “The hair is very simple: A very wet looking top knot that elongates the neck and makes a very nice silhouette,” said backstage stylist and Redken Creative Consultant Guido Palau. He achieved the style by dampening hair with water sprayed from a bottle, then combing in hardwear 16 super strong gel. Next, he pulled the hair into a high ponytail atop the head and twisted it into a small knot secured with pins. A mist of glass 01 smoothing serum lent the style its super glossy finish.
