Behold this nifty blowdrying trick of Regis Artistic Director, Kat Carey. Instead of using the blowdryer’s cold shot button to cool down a just dried section of hair, Carey flips the dryer around and uses the mechanism’s fan instead. The maneuver allows Carey to quickly cool the hair (thereby locking in the style’s set) without interrupting the flow of heat, so she can move on to the next section of hair faster and more efficiently. The results were awesome, but you’ll have to take my word for it—at least until the Holiday 2010 issue of The Hair Book hits salons later this fall.
