As if we don’t already love Amanda Seyfried and her always-fabulous hair, she arrived at the Tony Awards last week with a new updo we want to try—a slicked back, low ponytail. The wet look is pretty far from her usual blowout, but, not surprisingly, she’s totally working this summer trend. Here’s how to get Amanda’s look:
1. On damp hair, work a quarter-sized amount of Paul Mitchell Super Clean Sculpting Gel ($9.50, Regis Salons) through the roots and around the scalp (do not put any gel lower than the nape of your neck).
2. Comb gel through hair above nape to ensure it is covering your roots.
3. Blow dry your hair while using a cushion brush to direct the hair closely around the curves of your head and then straight down the back (if you have curly hair, you’re going to want to straighten the ends once it’s totally dry) .
4. When hair is dry, comb it together in a low ponytail at the nape of your neck and secure with a hair tie. Do any touch-up straightening at the ends, as needed. To complete this hairstyle, try one of these artful hair bands to hide your black hair tie.

What lipstick is Amanda Seyfried wearing on the cover of The hair book magazine of spring 2012 issue? I love it but cannot find exact color. Thanks!
