Model/actress Brooklyn Decker presented Best Female Athlete Award at the 2011 ESPY Awards wearing a strapless mini dress by Jay Ahr and a textured half-up, half-down hairstyle by Charles Baker Strahan. Here, how the celeb stylist whipped up the look: “We started with second-day hair, which is typically better for shorter cuts as it prevents them from appearing too mature. Using hairspray, I grabbed random pieces of hair, twisted, then flat-ironed them to create a slightly rougher wave texture. I then back combed the hair at the crown to boost volume and pinned it back to add structure and lift. Using a 1 ¼” curling iron, I created a wave with the shorter pieces around the face for a feminine, yet tough, look and finished off with hairspray.”
