Here are our three favorite looks of the night, with how-tos to recreate them at home:

Best Long, Loose Hair: Jessica Biel
“We wanted Jessica’s hair to compliment the ‘bohemian luxury’ feel of her dress. The overall look evokes a relaxed vibe while still remaining polished and sophisticated,” said stylist Davy Newkirk of the loose waves he created for Biel. To create the style, Newkirk began by applying Alterna Bamboo Volume Weightless Whipped Mousse all over damp hair and Alterna Bamboo Volume Uplifting Root Blast to the roots. He blow dried the hair with the help of a large round brush and when it was 95% dry he misted on Alterna Bamboo Style Boho Waves Touseled Texture Mist for added texture and wave. Next, he divided the hair into 1” sections and created waves using a 1¼” curling iron. He finger combed Alterna Bamboo Style Moldable Texture Paste through the curls for an extra tousled look and finished with Alterna Bamboo Smooth Anti-Humidity Hair Spray for hold and Alterna Bamboo Style Moldable Texture Paste to smooth the pieces around Biel’s face.

Best Updo: Busy Phillips by Chris McMillan
“What I love about Wella stylers is that they are light and there’s no product buildup so the hair still has a natural look and won’t get weighed down throughout the night,” said stylist Chris McMillan, who created Phillips’ elegant updo. For the style, McMillan began by first prepping Phillips’ wet hair with Wella Professionals Natural Volume Styling Mousse and loosely dried it for a textured finish. He sprayed Wella Professionals Stay Essential Finishing Spray on the hair when it was nearly dry to create a slightly piece-y effect and pulled it into an imperfect, textured French twist. McMillan added a headband at the top of the head to complete the do.

Michelle Williams Hairstyle

Best Short Style: Michelle Williams
“Michelle looks incredible with this short, modern Mia Farrow inspired style. It’s a retro ‘60s combined with flapper flair type of look that shows there’s still a lot of glamour and versatility with short hair,” said McMillan, who styled Williams’ pixie for the night. To create her look, he first applied Wella Professionals Natural Volume Styling Mousse to wet hair and then shaped the hair with his hands and allowed it to air dry naturally. Once dry, he used his hands and a hair dryer directed at the roots to build lift at the crown and body throughout. McMillan applied Wella Professionals Mirror Polish, to boost shine while smoothing hair into a shape and added a simple black headband with a jeweled brooch for a modern spin on a retro look. He pushed the bangs over to the side where the jewel was positioned for a heavy fringe effect and finished with Wella Professionals Stay Essential Finishing Spray for hold.
