There were plenty of beautiful hairstyles at last night’s 84th Annual Academy Awards, but these were two of our favorites:
Gwyneth Paltrow:
From the front it was an elegant updo. From the back it was a sophisticated ponytail. No matter the angle, the effect was fabulous. Gwyneth’s stylist, Adir Abergel of Frederic Fekkai, created the look by applying straightening balm to damp hair, slicing in a strong side part, then blow drying and flat ironing for a super straight finish. Next, he applied glossing cream for shine and pulled the hair back into two low ponytails just below the nape of the neck. A spritz of hairspray completed the style.
Penelope Cruz:
The Old Hollywood hairstyle made for one very glamorous look—especially when paired with Penelope’s Armani Privé gown. Wella Professionals Celebrity Stylist Andy LeCompte began by applying a small amount of Wella Professionals Natural Volume Styling Mousse to dry roots, then setting the hair in hot rollers for curl and texture. Once the hair was set, he misted it with Wella Professionals Dynamic Fix 45 Second Crafting Spray and backcombed to boost volume. He finished by brushing the finger waves into place and setting the style with Wella Professionals Stay Essential Finishing Spray.
