Madonna: Easy, natural texture
According to Andy LeCompte, Wella Professionals Celebrity Stylist, “Madonna wanted easy natural texture hair.” To create the desired effect, LeCompte began by rough drying her hair to emphasize her natural texture. Next, he applied a mist of Wella Professionals Thermal Image Heat Protection Spray to safeguard her hair from heat styling while adding slight texture and used an FHI platform 1 inch flat iron to make soft “S” formations that gave the hair a wave. He finished with Wella Professionals Ocean Spritz Beach Texture Spray to break up the texture.

Reese Witherspoon: More effortless texture
Frederic Fekkai celebrity stylist Adir Abergel started by misting wave spray throughout the actress’s dry hair. He then applied a small amount of glossing cream to the ends only to create a moisturizing seal. Using a medium round brush to add volume, he blow-dried the hair, then wrapped the hair around a 1 inch curling iron to create loose waves. Lastly, Abergel pulled the hair at the crown back into a Bardot-style bump. He finished with a light hold hairspray and a spritz of shine mist.

To style Nicole’s hair, celebrity stylist David Babaii began by applying a small amount of his own silicone free hair oil to add additional shine and protect the hair from thermal damage. To dry, he used a small round brush to create an ultra smooth finish while bumping the ends under. Then, working in sections, Babaii used a large curling iron, wrapping only the bottom portion of the hair around the barrel to create soft, natural waves. He finished by adding a side part and spritzing the root area with volumizing hairspray for lift and the ends for long lasting hold.
