Last Wednesday marked actress and designer Katie Holmes’ first-ever New York Fashion Week show for her line, Holmes & Yang. Co-designed with her friend and stylist Jeanne Yang, Holmes told Elle magazine in 2010 that the duo wanted “to create pieces a woman can wear over and over, and people won’t necessarily say, ‘Oh, you wore that last week.’” We love the understated chic feel of her line and, of course, couldn’t help but notice the minimalist nail art on the models, as well. With asymmetrical French tips, their manicures complimented the line’s simplicity in a unique way. With OPI’s Samoan Sand as a base coat, models’ tips were painted with either OPI in Black Onyx or Big Apple Red. While we love the colors, our favorite part about this manicure is that it’s fun for a night out but modest enough to be office appropriate.
