“Haider Ackermann shows are always exquisitely tasteful. I wanted to play against this feeling of perfect beauty to create a hair look that was aggressive and raw.  I wanted the hair look to have certain nonchalance, a narcissistic quality, and give the feeling that the model was so certain of her beauty that she could afford not to care about her hair,” said Eugene Souleiman, Global Creative Director for Wella Professionals, of the painted, textured knots he dreamed up for the runway. To create the style, he sprayed Wella Professionals Ocean Spritz Beach Texture Spray on roughly dried hair before pulling it all back into a ponytail.  Next, he pulled out a few face-framing wisps and clipped them out of the way. He sprayed on black temporary hair color in a sporadic fashion before twisting the ponytail into an imperfect knot and securing it with pins. He flat ironed the face framing wisps and, one by one, painted them with copper hair and body make up, concentrating the color at the roots for an ombrée effect and finished with Wella Professionals Stay Essential Finishing Spray.

At Jean Paul Gaultier, Redken Creative Consultant Guido Palau created an androgynous, rock ‘n’ roll look to match the dark and graffiti-inspired collection. “The hair is stick straight with long extensions so you get that rock ‘n’ roll kind of vibe.  We’re using bright colors to achieve dramatic color contrasts at the top of the hair near the center part. Different girls have different colors—black, red, blue, pink, silver—to create a graffiti –inspired look,” he said of the styles he created by applying Extreme Anti-Snap leave-in treatment to damp hair and blow-drying straight. Next, he center parted the hair, misted on iron silk 07 ultra straightening spray and flat ironing until stick straight. He layered on fashion work 12 versatile working spray and forceful 23 super strength finishing spray to lend hair a more severe, straightened look and followed with a generous amount of shine flash 02 glistening mist on the ends. He finished by spraying temporary hair color on either side of the part.
