Two easy looks direct from the Paris runways:
Balenciaga
“The inspiration was the girls themselves. We wanted their own natural texture and individuality to shine through, so within this feeling of a very stylized world that Nicolas created, there’s this natural beauty in the hair,” said Redken Creative Consultant of the naturally textured hair looks he created backstage at Balenciaga by having models shampoo and condition the day before the show with All Soft Shampoo and Conditioner with IPN. He then trimmed their hair to just above the bust and sliced in a long, overgrown bang. Next, he simply parted damp hair on the side and let it air dry for a surprisingly fresh and modern look.
Nina Ricci
At Nina Ricci, Guido whipped up a similarly simple look by misting Nature’s Rescue Radiant Sea Spray on damp hair, creating a deep left messy side part and rough blow-drying with the aid of his fingertips. He then applied powder refresh 01 aerosol hair powder/dry shampoo to enhance texture and finished by tucking the hair behind the ears, then pulling a one-inch side section forward over the right ear only. “It’s duller and natural, not shiny. The deep side part makes it very cool—easy and pretty,” said the stylist of the finished look.
Lanvin
Simplicity continued to rule at Lanvin. “The hair is very clean and natural with no product besides my favorite leave-in conditioner,” said Guido of the parted and tucked styles he created by applying Extreme Anti Snap leave-in treatment to freshly shampooed and conditioned hair. He then roughly blow dried using his fingers to build texture and finished with a boar bristle brush for smoothness. Next, he created a part (sometimes on the side and other times down the center) and tucked some hair behind an ear. “It’s just very easy hair,” he said of the finished look.
