Two side-parted and seriously slicked styles from the Paris runways:

The Issey Miyake show was inspired by the idea of the cross section of a beautiful mineral rock, with degrees of layered shine. To Eugene Souleiman, Global Creative Director of Wella Professionals, that translated into a graphic, slick, minimal hairstyle that provided multiple focal points. “The hair needed to be light, fresh and straight at the back, with a more masculine feel at the front of the head. There is also a tension that makes it feel sculpted in a clean, controlled way,” he said of the style he created by applying Wella Professionals Velvet Amplifier to damp hair then blow drying using a round brush to flatten the cuticle. Once the hair was dry, he sliced a diagonal part across the head. Next, he sectioned off the hair from behind the ears and across the top of the head and pulled it back into a tight, low ponytail. He misted Wella Professionals Stay Essential Finishing Spray onto a soft bristle brush and stroked it through the hair to create a clean, shiny surface area. Then, he sprayed and smoothed the hair from the sides of the head into the ponytail and secured it all with an elastic. He finished by applying Wella Professionals Shape Shift Molding Gum to a strip of hair on one side of the parting and used a tint brush to “paint” it into the surface of the hair.

“The look is slightly masculine with a nod to the 20s; I created a low ponytail with a deep side part over one ear. I gave it lots of shine, lots of polish, so it’s very finished and very rich-looking,” said Redken Creative Consultant Guido of the shiny, side-parted style he created at Loewe by applying satinwear 02 ultimate blow-dry lotion and blowdrying the hair straight. Next, he added a clean, deep, left side part and tied the hair into a low ponytail, making sure the left side of hair was tucked behind the ear while right side covered it so just the earlobe was exposed. He flat-ironed the ponytail for a super-sleek look and finished with forceful 23 super strength finishing spray for hold.
