As in New York and Milan, small, neat updos continued to rule in Paris:
Louis Vuitton
Models wore hats at Louis Vuitton, which meant hair played a supporting role. Redken Creative Consultant created “a high topknot so the hats easily went over them. All you see is the hairline in the back so while it seems like a simple hairstyle, I had to make sure each knot was very clean looking.” To achieve the look, he applied Extreme Anti-Snap to damp hair and blowdried, concentrating on the hairline to make it very clean. He pulled the hair up into a high ponytail and sprayed it with fashion work 12 versatile working spray to eliminate flyaways. He finished by twisting the hair into a small knot, covering it with a hairnet and misting on more hairspray.
Valentino
At Valentino the updo was more intricate. “I’ve created a very classic Valentino look; very pretty. I’ve doing a seventies kind of twist that has a very soft feel to it,” said Guido of the style he whipped by applying full frame 07 all-over volumizing mousse to damp hair and blowdrying. Next, he added a center part and applied outshine 01 anti-frizz polishing milk to smooth the hair. He separated the hair into two equal sections, twisted and pinned each in a “V” formation with ends concealed and finished with fashion work 12 versatile working spray for hold.
