Q. Is there any way to minimize roots in blonde hair, especially in the winter months? Stephanie, Wilmington, NC
A. I recommend going for an all over color that’s just one to two levels lighter than your natural hair hue. If you want, you can then add blonde highlights over top to create brightness and dimension. Just ask your stylist to place the foils under the part to help prevent any noticeable re-growth lines. Bonus: This technique will allow you to stretch out the time between color appointments.
