hero_300x2501Taking French actresses of the 1950s and 60s (think Catherine Deneuve in her Belle de Jour days) as his inspiration, Redken Creative Consultant Guido Palau fashioned a chic, voluminous style to complement the satin slip dresses and bustled skirts at Nina Ricci’s fall 2010 show. “Nina Ricci is a very feminine, sophisticated design house and the hair adds a dimension of “the present” making the overall look of the collection very modern for today’s woman,” said Palau of the hair he dreamed up for the collection’s runway debut. To create the look, he began by applying Redken Aerate 08 Bodifying Cream Mousse to the crown of the head and rough-drying to boost volume. Next, he backcombed the hair at the crown to create additional body before combing it back off the face and over the added height at the crown. A spritz of Redken Forceful 23 Super Strength Finishing Spray locked the finished style in place.
