hero_300x250_1Designer Betsey Johnson found inspiration for her Fall 2010 collection in the 1971 French Western “Les pétroleuses”, starring Brigitte Bardot. So, it’s no surprise the models walking her catwalk Sunday bore more than a passing resemblance to the Gallic starlet’s signature big hair look. Sebastian Professional lead stylist Thomas Dunkin is credited with the windblown, cowgirl do, which he created with generous amounts of Sebastian Professional Volupt Spray, a body-boosting spray-gel he applied to damp hair to score workable volume and texture. Next, he blow dried the hair and set it on medium and large Velcro rollers to create height and body. Once the hair had cooled, Dunkin removed the rollers and misted on Shaper Zero Gravity, a dry brushable hairspray, to add texture and separation. He pulled the hair into tousled pigtails and decorated them with torn fabric or thin leather ties before finishing with a spritz of Re-Shaper, a humidity-resistant strong hold mist for lasting hold.
