The next time you’re inspired to use the term “Dumb Blonde” you might want to think again. According to a study conducted by Dr. David Johnston of Australia’s University of Queensland and published in the journal Economics Letters, blonde women earn seven percent more than women with other hair colors. They also marry wealthier men (their husbands earn six percent more than the husbands of women with other hair colors). The study, a survey of 13,000 women, revealed these differences remained the same even after accounting for factors such as height, weight and education. Interested in putting the theory to the test?
