The blogosphere was positively abuzz last week with news of Taylor Swift’s purported hair makeover—in which she traded in her signature ringlets for a super straight style with long, lash-skimming bangs. I thought the look was a refreshing and sexy switch for the singer—especially on the eve of her 20th birthday. My eagle-eyed colleague, Damon, on the other hand took one look at the pics and cried foul. He couldn’t suppress a sneaking suspicion the new do was actually a flattering yet decidedly (gasp!) faux hairpiece. This wouldn’t be the first time a starlet underwent a seemingly major hair change only to have it revealed as a fake several days later (you know who you are Kim Kardashian). The thing is, the current celeb in question hasn’t come forward to admit to her wig-wearing ways. Damon remains convinced of his opinion. As proof, he recently emailed me an image of Swift performing at New York City’s Z100 Jingle Ball on December 11th (two days after the above bang-wearing photos were snapped) sporting her traditional long waves with nary a brow-skimming strand in sight. But instead of debating this—admittedly fascinating—topic to death, I thought I’d just put it to you, the reader. Once and for all, is this hair really Taylor’s or not? We at thehairbookonline.com want to know, so weigh in below.

It’s a wig, no mistaking that.
Like a wig in a candy shop.
It’s her real hair, she just stuck in fake bangs. No, this is not her new hairstyle, this was for a photoshoot she did before going out to dinner.
